Dublin Specialist Dentistry

Oral Surgery is a recognised international specialist training program in dentistry. It is the speciality of dentistry that includes the diagnosis, surgical and related treatment of diseases, injuries and defects involving both the functional and aesthetic aspects of the hard and soft tissues of the head, mouth, teeth, gums, jaws and neck.

It involves, but is not limited to: wisdom tooth removal, apicectomy, dento-alveolar trauma, oral pathology, dental implants, osseous tissue surgery, and bone grafts.

It requires 3 years of full time further University training after a formal qualification in Dentistry.

While all dentists remove teeth, you may be referred to an Oral Surgeon for procedures such as: removal of badly broken or impacted teeth, bone grafting procedures, sinus lifts, dental implant placement, treatment under sedation, biopsies and treatment of other oral disease.

Consultation can be arranged by referral from a General Dental or Medical Practitioner. All major private medical insurance cover is accepted (Quinn, VHI, Aviva, Guarda Medical Aid, ESB Medical)

Mr Rogers provides the full range of Oral Surgery procedures under local anaesthetic and intravenous sedation.
